A log splitter for an excavator existed as CAD and nothing else: no mark, no image, no route to a buyer.
The BOWS range · a site in 9 languages
The WoodSplitter brand from Kisovec, behind it MGP3 Boštjan Ocepek s.p. The BOWS range are hydraulic log splitters that hang off an excavator arm: four models with 14 or 20 tonnes of force and a patented two-way split that does not require the log to be repositioned between cycles. A cycle takes 7 seconds, or 4 on the compact M series.
The product existed as CAD and nothing else. There was no mark, no image a buyer would recognise it by, and no path along which they would reach a quote. The splitter works on an excavator arm in the middle of a forest, where nobody is going to go and look at it before buying, and the buyer's first question is not what it looks like but whether it fits their machine at all.
Branding in full first, then the model. The client's CAD, STEP and OBJ, became a poly model that can be textured and lit. Every render on the site comes out of it. All four models are shot with the same camera and in the same crop, so the BOWS 20 and the BOWS 14M compare by size and not by framing; 1100 mm of travel against 600 mm is a difference the image has to show, not the table afterwards.
The BOWS family, one crop for all four

An attachment sells on what it does. Three films: the excavator carrying the splitter, a log being split, and the quick coupler locking in one movement. The first two are seamless loops, because they run continuously under the text on the site; the last frame lands on the first, measured rather than judged by eye.
The quick coupler
A custom website in Slovenian, English, German, Italian, Croatian, French, Greek, Swedish and Danish. A model selector, a specification table for all four builds, downloads and a partner programme. The enquiry is not an ordinary contact form but a qualification: which excavator, what mounting, two-way or one-way wedge, how many units. So a salesperson does not start by working things out, they start with a quote. The previous generation of the site had a product configurator.
A 9:16 film went out with the launch of the site, made for Instagram and TikTok. The site also carries a wall that embeds footage from users: splitters on real ground, filmed by the buyers themselves. It is the only material on the site that is not ours, and that is exactly its value — under a heading that reads “Not renders. Real splitters, on real ground.” anything made up would work against itself.
