A family firm with tools made in Slovenia. The products existed; the route to a buyer did not.
Shopify in two languages · film · studio renders
Gladia vrtni sistemi. A family business run by Matej Zorko, a mechanical engineer with a decade in product development, and Špela Freitag Zorko. The name joins the Slovenian „gladi“ — to level, to smooth — with the gladiators of the arena. Four lawn-care tools, made in Slovenia in small batches: the Gladiatorka leveller, the SECTA edger, the SPINA aerator and a soil sampling probe.
The products existed; the route to a buyer did not. The shelves are full of cheap imports that photograph exactly the same; the difference is in the steel, the build, and the fact that the tool is made in Slovenia in small batches. A buyer will not read a sheet-metal gauge, but they have to see that this is a different class of product.
A Shopify store in Slovenian and English: four products with prices, the story behind the brand, customer reviews and a checkout that goes all the way. The client adds a product, changes a price and writes a post without going through anyone — selling happens every day, and an agency does not.
A ninety-second film for the Gladiatorka, rendered in a black studio with one light and no set. Shot by shot it states one thing: available in 60, 80 and 100 cm, a handle that works cleanly in both directions, a robust metal frame, a swivelling joint with no screws, built-in ribs for scraping work boots. Every render is square, 1920 × 1920, so the horizontal and the vertical cut come out of the same material without rendering anything twice.
What did not get a film got studio renders: the SPINA aerator whole and in detail, close enough to read CRAFTED IN SLOVENIA, and the leveller in the 80 cm width. Light ground, one light, one camera — the same images go to the store and to social, so the products match wherever they turn up.
