Who Darth Craft are

A manufacturer of compact electric watercraft: 1.7 metres, 100 kilograms of payload, an electric motor, roughly an hour of range. It folds into a bag and is meant for children and anyone after a day on the water, as well as for owners of yachts and campervans. Designed by Venetian Design of Trieste, built in Slovenia.

The problem

The owner had bought a company that had nothing. The product existed. There was no branding, no logo, no CAD files, no material library, no presence online and no route to market. Later we also worked on the development of a second product, the E-210.

01

Branding from nothing

Logo, brand guidelines, the whole visual system. The mark reads three ways: as a carrying handle, as braided rope, and as the initials D and C. The branding did not stay on paper — we designed the graphics on the craft itself.

02

One master model

A precise high-poly model of the craft with custom materials, which then drove everything: the configurator, every product render and every animation. We did the same for both products, the Splash and the E-210.

The same model from above in three builds: light blue, black, and white with sand detailing
Four builds of the second product, the E-210, from its master model: brown, red, light blue and dark blue
03

Renders and animation

Product presentations of every function of the craft, from the drive to the fittings, detail renders of the Splash Pro build, and films that ran at trade fairs and on social.

Social media

We took over and ran Instagram and TikTok with a high volume of 3D content. Instagram grew from 100 to 17,000 followers; the most viral post reached around 60,000 likes and up to 3 million views, all organic, with no advertising. The campaign generated roughly 3,000 email contacts.

Trade fairs and expansion

Organising and producing materials for trade fair appearances: Boot Düsseldorf, Cannes Yachting Festival, Internautica, Abu Dhabi, Turkey and Egypt. We supported expansion into foreign markets, including DarthCraft Maldives, and looked after around 16 distributors, supplying each with materials and access.

Six appearances: our own stand at the first three, the craft on a distributor's stand at the rest

The outdoor stand at the Cannes Yachting Festival: craft on cradles between beach flags
The marquee stand at Internautica, several craft on the floor
The craft on distributor Al Yousuf's stand in Abu Dhabi
Darth Craft on partner Safari Group's stand in Turkey, the craft and the presentation on screen
A demonstration in Egypt: a child trying the Splash in a pool in front of visitors
06

White-label programme

For resorts, hotels and dealers we generated 3D presentations of the craft in their own colour scheme and branding. One master model, an unlimited number of branded versions.

The website

The same 3D material drives the site as well: a film in the header, both models presented, the colour schemes and the steps from trailer to water. The recording is the site as it stands today.

Outcome

For Darth Craft we were the one stop shop: branding, 3D, the website, the configurator, social, trade fairs and distributor support all ran through us, and the client had one point of contact instead of five agencies.

A company with no identity came out of a single cycle with a brand, a digital presence, viral reach and a network of 16 distributors.
